Pacific Epping COVID-19 Update | 20 April 2022

The Victorian Government has announced changes to the COVID-19 restrictions that are currently in place across the state.

From 11:59pm Friday 22 April, the following restrictions will be eased:

  • Face masks will no longer be required to be worn in retail settings.
  • Customers will no longer be required to show their vaccination status to enter any venue.
  • All previous QR code check-in requirements will be removed, and businesses will no longer be required to keep attendance records or have a check-in marshal in place.
  • Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will be required to notify their workplace contacts, in addition to informing their social contacts. Workplaces will no longer be required to individually identify and notify each potentially exposed worker.
  • Close contacts will no longer be required to quarantine. However, while outside the home they must wear a face mask in all indoor settings and must take at least five negative rapid antigen tests across the seven days they would have previously been in quarantine for.

Please note that while many restrictions will be lifted, all existing two- and three-dose vaccination mandates for workers in applicable sectors will remain in place.

We continue to closely monitor public health updates and regularly review the range of measures we have implemented to help keep our community safe and are prepared to respond quickly should we need to.
